After power failure, Ixia 400T Chassis won\'t boot.
Our lab had a power hit (no ups except for servers) and our Ixia 400t does not boot, but loops through ZenWorks boot and Windows boot.
Our support contract recently expired, and getting PO to clear won't solve problem today.
To diagnose, I have tried
- booting from USB linux key (fails to recognize usb key, despite setting BIOS to boot from USB key)
- booting from USB CD drive with linux Live CD (disk not recognized by USB - despite setting BIOS to boot from CD)
Is there some factory default setting?
I get output from Video, but can't serial in?
Re: After power failure, Ixia 400T Chassis won\'t b
The 400T chassis is like a modified computer! After the power failure, most probably some component got fried. By what you mentioned in your post it looks like the memory is not working correctly. You may wanna try to replace it with a new compatible one.
You can try to remove all the cards from the chassis and then restart it.
Also, if you can enter zenwork you may try a fresh install on your chassis (on the harddisk the is a partition with some kind of ghost image of the original install). Do this only if you are sure no hardware component is broken.
