What is the difference?
Can someone please tell me the difference between Test Runs and Test Sets?
Also how this relates to release planning. I already have the option of including multiple iterations in the Release area.
Question 2 - On the Project Home summary page I can see a list of releases. If I have multiple iterations under a release, and execute the tests associated to those iterations which in turn are associated with a release, the release is not updated. Why is this?
Re: What is the difference?
1) Test Runs are the individual executions of a test case. I.e. if I run a test case twice, the result will be two test runs that belong to this test case.
2) Test Sets are groups of test cases that are either assigned to one single tester for executing, or satisfy a common objective (e.g. testing these test cases against browser X).
3) You need to also map the parent release to the test cases, then the executions against the child iterations will be reported against both the iteration and the parent release.
