    After compiling .mst file, i got the file with extention .pc6 (i am using VT6.5). Anyone know how to automatically run it in another VT program?

    Re: Run compiled .mst file

    Hi, ms6073. thanks for your info.
    But my case is a little different from that one. I can double click pc6 file to run it. But cannot run pc6 in another script, with the code "run mtrun.exe filename.pc6". such as i have 5 pc6 files already. I am going to write another piece of code which can run those 5 pc6 files one by one automatically. How to use the command "run" in this code?
    I have full version of VT6.5 installed. Impossiblely it is due to lack of some .dll files, right?
    regards
    Mason

    Re: Run compiled .mst file

    If you are getting a "filename.pc6 not found" error, you might try specifying the full path to the pc6 file. So instead of
    "run mtrun.exe filename.pc6"
    you call
    "run mtrun.exe c:\path\filename.pc6"

    Ahh, now I understand. To programatically call a compiled script, you will have to use the Run command which means having to deal with text literals for teh quote symbol. I suggest you consider using a subroutine that allows you to create a run string and then use the run command - something like this:

    ' pass in the path/name of the compiled script (.pc6) that you want to call in your code
    Sub RunScriptFromCode (strTest$)

    Dim runstr$

    runstr = "MTRUN.EXE " + chr(34) + trim(strTest) + chr(34)
    RUN runstr

    End Sub
