1]am in search of VT Architecture. can any 1 tell me where can i find it. or ,weather can i find it or not?
2]on readng internal helpfiles from VT a LOT of description is given related to vc++.
i would like to kno how and how much VT and vc++ related to each other and how?
As you become more versed in VT, you will no doubt find a need to make calls to various Windows API. The API's were coded in C++ and since VT's data types do not include all of the data types supported in VC++, you will have to adapt the API based on the data types available within VT. See this thread for an example: http://www.qaforums.com/cgi-bin/foru...;f=10;t=000375
Thanks a lot. but that thread look a little
hi-fi. i hav observed that most of that times solutions u put are extraordinary and uncomparable. u sound real good in VT.
could u tell me somthing abt its ARCHICHTURE. or any link that can help me. i kno ratonal hav stoped publishing much abt VT for past 2-3 years. but still if its there on some good old site.?
i am looking for the architecture of VT. basicaly i am trying to learn how these testing tools are designed, the issues involved and the other details require to build a testing tool.
or the data flow diagram in VT which can give me the inside picture of it.
Sounds to me like you are looking for something similar to the MFC and .net class higherarchy charts that Microsoft provides for its developers. Unfortunatley you are not likely to find such documentation for VT but I will tell you this. If you have the MFC class org charts, you have the basis for what you are looking for. To really over simplify things, Visual Test simply taps into the Windows message/event stream and by encapsulates API such as SendMessage, allows automation of most control functions that otherwise requrie manual input! But that is only the beginning of what VT can for you in terms of test automation.
