I'm trying to automate testing of dial out with Windows NT. Does anyone know a command to use to select or click the Dial-Up Networking icon on the System tray. I know there is a WClickToolbar but I need one for the System tray. I'm new to this and would be very grateful if someone out there could help me.
Have you tried to record the mouse movements as well as double clicking the icon? In Winrunner it's called analog recording. I can't remember what it's called in Visual Test (though I should know cause I use to use the tool) I know it sounds like a cheezy work around but it could be worth a try.
Use Wininfo to get the class as well as cordinates and use the appropriate one. Clicking by position is pretty tricky as you need to have the same number of icons in system tray. Best way is to get the exe of the application and invoke it.
