sorry to ask about a so simple topic but I'm lost...
I have installed on a PC "PC2" rational Test Agent & on another one "PC1" I have TestManager installed.
I setup the computer "PC2" in testmanager (Tool-ManageComputer) & I ping it.
But when I want to check the Agent (Suite - Check Agents), I have an error :
"RTmaster: fatal user suite processing error:
launch file c:\DOCUME~1...\launch_file.tmp:bad log
ERROR - There were error in initializing Agents"
Follow the following steps and check whether it works or not:
1. Just check that Rational Test Agent service is running.
2. If it is running, stop it and delete the temp files in the folder. The folder location is
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp
(Replace Administrator with your user's id)
Restart the agent service and check whether it works.
3. You haven't mentioned version of Rational TestManager, which you are using. If it is TeamTest 2003.06.00 then there is a bug in it. You have to install a service pack to overcome this error. However if you run your suite then you will not face this error. It just appears with Check Agents option.
