From TM you can run any file which can be run in command line prompt. Using SILK Partner exe we can run the SILK test file. This is verified. The results will appear on the SILK result window as Pass or fail. TM shows all as pass as it will only consider running the test script file closing it. How TM keep directly track of the pass fail from SILK is the question for me now?
database/table? inserting stuff directly into the TM database is bad to do, especially since the test currently running has no way of knowing what test case, build, etc. to stick it into. if you follow this path, you will not be able to do much with the results.
on the other hand, we do this via the Execution Adapter API. you implement a testcase with a silktest plan, script, etc. and the results are properly associated with the testcase.
