Re: Creation of New scripts types in test manager

A Test Script Execution Adapter provides a way to execute automated tests that are implemented in a tool other than Rational Robot or RobotJ and communicate the test results back to Test Manager's log.

A Test Script Type Adapter provides a way to define a type of test script and customize its behavior within Test Manager, e.g. how to edit a script, create a new script, or select a script from a collection of scripts (useful if the scripts are contained within a program and not made available through the file system)

The Console Adapter is an example of a Type Adapter. It allows you to utilize the command-line to define some of the behavior listed above: creating a new file, editing it with nodepad ("notepad {scriptname}"), etc.

There are several commercial adapters available at http://www.ring-zero.com -- even if you have no interest in purchasing, if you go to the product pages, you can get a better idea of what these adapters can do.
