How to manage the defects with Rational TestSuite?
I am a beginner to use Rational TestSuite, and i am now wondering how to manage the defects. I know there are many reports to show the defects after function test or performance test. But is that the right way to show the defects to the coder?
Is there a good way to do this through the ClearQuest?thanks a lot.
Nothing beats nohow!~
Re: How to manage the defects with Rational TestSuite?
If you have the TeamTest package as part of your schema than yes you can create a defect straight from TestManager. It will fill many of the fields automatically when you do so. If you have not received training on CQ than I would highly suggest this.
It is just like any other thing in the world. The more you can do with it the harder it is to use. CQ is a very powerful defect tracker but it takes a lot of effort to get the very most out of it. Granted you can just install it right out of the box and have a very capable defect tracker.
