who wants to kill themselves everytime I have to execute a test?
I just find it incredibly awkward to use so have the feeling I must be using it wrong.
All I want to do is execute a test case, create defects as I go, and maybe update or correct the test case as I execute it.
So far I've discovered, to raise a defect I have to complete the test case, so I can't raise one half way through my test run, or I can't raise a defect for a step but keep going to check other verification points. I have to exit the test run in order to raise a defect.
It is completely impossible to edit a test case once you're running it. you have to finish the test case, delete the log, then edit the test case in the designer and then re-run it.
Surely there must be easier ways to do this.
Does anyone have a better suggestion for updating a test case as it's being run, is it possible?
Everywhere's within walking distance if you have enough time.
I prefer to submit defects manually in CQ after I finish a script/ suite run. If I find an issue I generally want to test it manually anyways to make sure the problem is really with the app and not the script.
