TestManager agent testing domain & workgroups??
I have robot 2003 project datastore located on a domain server.
I am running testmanager on a computer in the same domain.
I am trying to run scripts within a suite against agents on systems in a workgroup.
I am getting all sorts of permission issues. (can't write logs).
I have tried putting the testmanager computer in the workgroup but this was no help.
I can't get the project moved to a workgroup computer properly(nothing works after moving project).
I am pretty sure the problem is the agents that are running on the workgroup computers are running as an application under a local workgroup account. This account has no access to the project in the other domain.
I have added 'everyone' full access to all the project files and folders. Didn't help.
There must be a solution to this problem. Are there any rational guru's lurking on this forum??
I only have 3 weeks left to get this project finished.
I can't put the agent pc's into the domain because I need to run the scripts in the workgroup environement.
This seems like it should be easier to solve but I am stumped.
thanks for any sugestions
Re: TestManager agent testing domain & workgroups??
In case anyone has the same issue, I will post my fix.
In robot was using a unc project like this: \\myserver\project\myprojects\testproject.rsp
The folder myprojects was shared for everyone \ full access.
The folder project was NOT.
The fix is to change the unc path or add 'everyone' access to the project folder too.
So change the unc path to:
