am having a problem with robot 2005. when recording any kind of control it always gives me not the name of the control but something like "HTMLId=_OWS_band_top_frameset".
is it a configuration problem or ...?
here is a sample:
Window SetContext, "Caption=***- Microsoft Internet Explorer", ""
HTML Click, "HTMLId=_OWS_band_top_frameset", "Coords=345,-386"
HTML Click, "HTMLId=_OWS_band_top_frameset", "Coords=339,-370"
HTML DblClick, "HTMLId=_OWS_band_top_frameset", "Coords=335,-340"
Are you asking how to change recognition methods for your objects? Robot has default settings for HTML recording, you can however edit these properties by using Inspector to get the Object Recognition Methods you want to use, e.g., Name, Text or any other property your developers set.
See Robot Help:
GUI Record Options dialog box - Object Recognition Order tab
Note: Settings in the Object Recognition Order tab of the GUI Record Options dialog box do not affect HTML recording. When recording against HTML, Robot always uses HTMLID, if available, and then name, text, and index recognition and ignores any settings in the Object Recognition Order tab.
