Is anyone doing straight data-driven (not keyword-driven) test scripting with a common object repository / GUI map? Just looking for different ideas for creating one. Thinking of using a database to store the object info. This is very frustrating coming from other tools (RFT, WinRunner, QTP) that have a built in map. RFT will not work for me now because it does not support Infragistics grids which these apps are full of.
I've used one with a Robot keyword-driven framework... and just thinking that this will suck rewriting a whole new set of code to read in the fields and then process through control functions. I can reuse parts of the old code, but since it was specific to keyword driven a lot of it is the spaghetti that comes along with that type of framework. (And if anyone's wondering why I don't just use the keyword-driven framework, that's a whole new post. )
