I doubt you can do that. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think datapools are for inputing data, only. Your may want to store your test results in some output file (e.g., create customized log entries in test log).
Actually I have three columns in my .csv file for datapool.
two are for images path and 1 for Status.
For every row I have to comapre two images, if they are found to be same, I have to mark Status field as pass else fail.I ahve to do it on run time.
Tell me if I could mark status field as pass or fail in .csv file based on the result of Comparison.
the things is that hard_worker doesn't want to put the result in test report. my understanding is that he wants it to be written into datapool at runtime.
I think database would be a better place to do that. datapools are designed for providing inputs, not for logging results.
hard_worker_pk: if for some reason you really prefer modifying datapool using script, one approach i can think of is to open the cvs file for that datapool, modify the last column as you desire, and save the changes. each datapool has an associated cvs file under:
