Please help me in understanding the Performance Report generated by Rational. It has columns viz. Command ID, Num, Mean, STD DEV, Min, 50th, 70th, 80th, 90th, 95th, MAX
I would be grateful this is clarified.
Thanks in Advance.
Lets Make The Test World - Smart
CmdID corresponds to the ID's in your script. (Each request is defined by a unique command ID.)
Num is the number of times that particular ID (or timer) was executed during your test.
The rest of the columns deal with standard statistical measurements. If you don't know what THAT is, I'd start learning some stats background.
Mean = average
STD DEV = standard deviation
Min = minimum
50th = 50th percentile
70th = 70th percentile
80th = 80th percentile
90th = 90th percentile
95th = 95th percentile
MAX = maximum
Yes, I really do not know what does these columns mean. I will also try to get some info on this, in the mean time if you come across anything, pleaase share with me.
You'll need to look up some basic statistical analysis sites (there's lots on the web) so you can learn what the significance of 50th percentiles compared to 90th percentiles is.
Do you have the ability to maybe even take a university class on statistics?
You may also look into the help file for TestManager related to analyzing results. It briefly touches on some further information about the measurements in the performance report.
