The question is whether SQABasic language of Rational Robot is a scripting language?
This became a doubt because by defination scripting languages are never compiled and only interpreted.
At the same time Rational calls all its programs "Scripts".
Something makes me ask if it would make a difference one way or the other? Would you behave differently? Would the code?
SQABasic is a programming language in the same category as Visual Basic. It is not a scripting language by the strict definition.
They call it a script because the steps that make up a test are commonly called a script. It was easier to call it that then to make up a new word. Many people use it just like a script.
