Any advice for Robot test case development in parallel by several memebers
Now we prepare to involve more R&D, PE in the Robot test case building. Before I was the only person who do this. I wonder how to achieve this:
1 Should each member create his own project and work within it?
2 Should we group the members according to region, and one region working in one project? For example, members in San Jose work in one project, members in Taiwan works in one project.
The problems now I think:
1 If working in different projects, the synchonization will be an issue.
And is it necessary to use Sybase database engine?
Welcome any advices and experience!

Sybase is recommended if you are sharing projects, where you may have more than one person working within the project at one time.
Personally, I'd have each person create a project, for a specific purpose, and work within it. I would use CVS or a similar version control system to centralize function libraries so they can be shared.
I also wouldn't work toward a common automation system. I have had troubles to no end trying to agree on a common approach, tool, etc. Let the data-driven guy do data-driven, let the keyword-driven girl do her thing...unless you all agree, then it seems like it would be a wonderful thing, but to me it's a pink unicorn.
