I have been using datapool for fetching data dynamically. The problem I am facing is each time i call the function I am always getting the first row of the datapool file. The rows are not auto incrementing.
Suppose i need First Name.
For the time being i am using access and keeping a extra field of Status which gets updated to "Yes" when fetched once. So while fetching again from access i check the status first and when i get blank status field i capture the First Name field of that table. I am using DSN for the connection..
Is there any other way in Datapool itself which can solve my purpose
The Datapool is kept open till the scope of the script but the problem is I am not calling the same script again and again at one go. I need data each time the script runs and stops and in this point in time it is returning me same value as the datapool is again initialized when the script is compiled.
When i run a script i have the data pool with me from the first record. Suppose i run the script for say 10 times, i will get 10 different data.
I have completed the execution and now i am starting the execution of the same script again so the datapool is reset to the first record. Now when the data is fetched from the datapool the first record is fetched again.
I cannot take the data with random option as in my application duplication of the records is not allowed so what if the same record is fetched again.
