HTML Click Function
Hi QA forum community! I'm trying to click a hyperlink in a list that is constantly changing. What I mean is the name of the hyperlink is not always the same, so if I record it, Robot is not able to find it the next time. For example,
Window SetContext, "WindowTag=Instance1", ""
'Browser NewPage,"HTMLTitle=Microsoft Internet Explorer",""
'HTMLLink Click, "HTMLText=This is my Automation test;Index=4;VisualText=This is my Automation test", ""
'HTMLLink Click, "HTMLText=;Index=4;VisualText=", ""
How can I create a function so that I can select any hyperlink in the list, not matter what the HTMLText or Visual Text is?
Re: HTML Click Function
Look up the HTMLLink command in the reference manual and pick out another recognition method that is constant to that particular link. Try:
HTMLLink Click, "Index=4", ""
... but, I don't think that will be specific enough. If there is some common text, perhaps you could use wildcards. Use the GUI spy to view all the attributes of this link and compare what you see to the list of available recognition methods and see if there's anything you can use.
