Run different users with varying number of virtual testers ?
We are doing Performance testing of a portal. I have to get the response time for painting a particular report for a peak time with 377 users for an hour (# of users are distributed as below),
Here we have four different types of users such as
AA users (#15)
PU users (#267)
FM users (#35)
IU users (#60)
We created scripts for each user and run for different number of Virtual Testers, it was good.
But, now we are trying to simulate, all the four types of users are putting load on the portal simultaneously from single machine by simulating different number of Virtual Testers for each script. To find out the response time for each type of users
(NB: we canít add different users to the same script from a pool, as the activities performed by each type of users are different)
How can we make it possible...?
We came across with an easy idea like, simultaneously running the scripts from different machines for different numbers of virtual users and getting response time from those machines. Is it advisable while if there is any sophisticated way is there to deal with in Test Manager?
Is there any thing like that...?
Any of you please...
Re: Run different users with varying number of virtual testers ?
I got the solution by creating four different User groups for each types of users and passing % value of total number of virtual testers to these groups.
But, this is users for One hr time period...how can I consider that time period to this situation.
