Recognizing returned data
Ok, I have virtually no background with Rational so please bear with me. I have a web page that contains two frames, the top frame the user can input query criteria and click submit. The bottom frame is where the data returns based on the user input criteria. First, using script recording, it seems that if I don't click in the frame where I am entering data, Rational doesn't always recognize where I am. Is this a characteristic of Rational? Second, I want to input criteria, example: USERID in the top frame, then I want to check the returned data to see that all of the records returned contain the USERID I input in my criteria. I tried a verification point with region selection and OCR masks but it fails with a mismatched object. Can anyone tell me if this is a good way to do this or steer me in another direction? Any help is much appreciated.
Re: Recognizing returned data
I would recommend that you ensure that the set window context is at the frame that you are currently working on.
If you have to click between the two frames you will need to ensure that the setcontext text is present in your script before playback
I don't know if I have the spelling correctly for Setcontext or is it SetContent
