I am new to Performance testing using Rational VU Scripting. I have gone through some documents and help, now I am able to create a script and run it with a new Performance test suite.
My goal is to find out the response time (while there are 50 users) of getting a report painted after clicking the request button for that report. What I have done is …while recording….Inserted a Start Timer before clicking the “report request “ button and inserted a Stop Timer after getting the page painted. The logged out and closed the browser, and used 50 Virtual Users. And ran the script…here arises the problem (assuming what I have done is the right… If not please explain how to do…?) …Where I can find out the Response time for that particular timer...? I am getting lot of windows but please specify how I can find out the response time for painting that report when there are 50 users…?
It will be verymuch appreciated if you are sending any related documents to firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks in advance
Thank you Senthil,
I got answer for that but again another problem...
I have inserted Start Timer before clicking the "Report Request button" and Stop Timer after that report getting painted to find out the response of painting a report.
From performance report it is found out that it took average of 60 to 70 seconds for 1,5,10,50,100,200 Virtual Testers.
But in real case I am able to open that report with in 4 seconds...Why this much difference...atleast in 1,5 Virtual tester case. Is there any thing wrong with insertion place of timers...?
