This is more of a VB than Robot question...
Anyone have a fool proof way of reading data from a txt file, and then deleting that line?
I need to grab 11111 from the file, and then remove it from the list.
From the stuff I have found online, the VB code reads the first line, and then writes the rest of the data into another file. ... i.e. that's alot of overhead just to get 5 bytes of data.
I don't know of any way. Possibly you could overwrite the first char of a line with an % or something to signify that data had been used. Your application would then advance to the first line without a %.
Or make a copy of this file without this line and then overwrite original file.
If you want to give somebody a fish, you'll do better if you teach him how to catch it.
