record object id/text information
Longtime silk user, new to robot.
Ive read a couple posts on here about how robot identifies objects and interacts with them and this is what I understand.
Lets say I have this:
</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;"> Window SetContext, "Caption=Management & Configuration (QA Site)", ""
Browser SetFrame,"Type=HTMLFrame;HTMLId=data;\;Type=H TMLFrame;HTMLId=nav_frame",""
ComboBox Click, "Type=ComboBox;HTMLText=enduser files - enduser backup - enduser default mail files - mail backup - mail default css files - css backup - css default image", ""
ComboListBox Click, "Type=ComboListBox;HTMLText=enduser files - enduser backup - enduser default mail files - mail backup - mail default css files - css backup - css default image", "Text= - enduser backup "
HTMLImage Click, "Type=HTMLImage;HTMLTitle=Sort Ascending (A to Z)", "Coords=5,5"</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">Now with silk I would use a method like Window.PopupList.Select ("#1") to select the first item in the popuplist.
I see that SetContext and SetFrame are very important to robot. They are used everywhere to tell robot what you are working with. Correct?
So, is the only way to select an item in the combobox by clicking it, then selecting the item? Also, how can I set the HTMLText definition to something simpler cuz as it is right now is just too long.
Is there some kind of Recognition Method recorder so that I can find out what the HTMLText of an item is without doing a record/insert at cursor?
FYI, I did try to figuring this out on my own but I have spent 2 days trying to figure it out and im still lost. Thanks.
