Parsing the HTML Data returned by the verification point.
We have scenario like this.
Our application have 2 webpages, one is called as admin and other as runtime.
When you perform some action in the runtime, it will be refecleted in 'admin'.
I need to develop a script in 'Robot' as below.
You start a process in 'Runtime',check in the admin whether whatever is displayed in the admin matches with whatever data entered by the runtime user.
Method that i want to follow:
Have a object data verfication point in the runtime, get the id of the process started.
In admin also, have a object verification point (with HTML data), and match both of them.
But the question is how to parse the html data returned by the vefirication point.
I searched whole of the SQAScripting lauguage to find a command, but i could not find one.
Please can anybody suggest me on the same?
Re: Parsing the HTML Data returned by the verification point.
To my knowledge, Robot does not have any built in commands or functions to parse through a verification point's data. You are limited to knowing whether the verification point (VP) passed or failed by the value returned in the function call.
If you know the properties of the object you are trying to verify, you can use the function SQAGetProperty to get the value of the property from the admin script and compare it with the value in your runtime script.
