Performance Testing, usernames and passwords from datapool

Hello

My question is how do I loop a login script so that it uses a different username and password each time?

I have viewed the thred:

http://www.qaforums.com/cgi-bin/foru...=004323#000003

It was exactly what I was looking for, but it looks like the 2 members finished their communication by e-mail or something because it does not say the solution, just thanks for the solution.

Can anyone tell me what Curt may have told Anil about the problem?

I have followed all the steps Anil followed in the first post so far.

Thanks in advance

hey,

actually it looks to me like they are done

you need a bit of code in the beginning of the script, that defines the datapool, and fetches the next row, somthing along the lines of:

DP1 = datapool_open("foo");
datapool_fetch(DP1);

Which robot most likely have already created for you - the 'foo' value should be replaced with the name of your datapool.

If you want to see what value you are using, you could log it to the 'virtual tester output file'

something like:
printf("%s\n", datapool_value(DP1, "name"));
should do the trick.

Replace "name" with the name of the field you are using

Hope that gets you a bit futher, otherwise, let us know what issues you are having, if you get an error, what it is - etc

Thanks,
Martin

oh, one little (but important) thing I forgot to mention, in your datapool configuration (edit->datapool information)

you must select the 'obey usage' radio button in order for your 'include' to be included

(that manu option have got to the least intuative in the entire product)

Good luck,
Martin
