Hi, I want to select a menu item from a tool bar but the menu items are dynamically generated. If I use MenuSelect and the menu item doesn't exist Robot stops execution. I would like to be able to use SqaGetProperty or something similar to check for the existence of the menu item before I call MenuSelect.
I have tried SQAFindObject but it always fails to find the menu item even it does exist.
1. Run "Inspector" (from Rational Robot. Menu Tools->Inspector...)
2. Drag the hand to select menu control
3. Tell me what is written in "Class" (on the right side of "Selected object properties and data:")
It should be something like "Afx..."
Probably u might have not given enough 'Delay' to check for the existance of menu.
Try to insert some delay and then check the existance of menu ( also don't forget to use Window Setcontext, "currentwindow", "" )

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">I have resolved a similar issue by having Robot execute a click on the object that invokes the popup menu. Once the popup is visible, the menu items are accessible to Robot.
