Robot v/s XDE
Currently we have Robot in the place of my work. There has been a move to get XDE. Since I do possess little knowledge of Java, I am not sure in which areas does XDE provide more benifits in Functional Testing. Should current Robot be taken out and I cater to XDE only aparent reason that we cannot Test Websites with Netscape as a Browser with Robot ?
Re: Robot v/s XDE
Sometimes, the RationaL Robot can not recognise certan obects and is therefore, it is better to go by the RobotJ/XDE like Java Grids and other stuff.
But the scripting language used in the classic robot is SQABasic which is very easy to learn and maintain
RaobotJ has got the recording in Java, so you ought to be very efficient to maintain scripts in Java
