    Verification Points in Rational Robot.

I am using Rational Robot to automate my product. There are tonnes of reports in the product which I have to test after every build for the data in it. The problem is, I can't use Window image VP since the report position is not fixed. I want to capture the data contained in it which varies from graphs, charts to other numeric data. Which VP should I use? Is there any other method?

Do your reports have the ability to export to file?

If so, i would export them to file and validate against a baseline file.

    Thankyou.
I tried using the export option and then comparing the files. But now the problem is my report also exports the system Time when it has been run and this causes a difference in the files.

If it were me, since it's the data which is important, i'd either change my baseline to change the format of the date in the baseline from for instance 12/02/2003 to be @@/@@/@@@@ and once you've exported the actual, you could parse the file to find the date, 1) you could verify it's the system date then and 2) replace the date with the same @@/@@/@@@@ and then do the comparison.
