I have robot scripts that I would like to send off shore to be ran at another location. How is this done? Copying the .rtxml and .rec files from the TestDatastore\DefaultTestScriptDatastore\TMS_Scrip ts location and pasting in theirs will not work becuase there is and identifier in each script that associates with a repository. I would think there would be an export option but don't see one and can't find anything in the help files. Any one have any ideas? Thanks for the feedback
Just send the source of the script either by copying in notepad or sending .rec file only. Then at new location, create a new script with the same name or different name as per your requirement and paste the code.
That would work if you didn't have verification points but because this script does have object data verification points that is not an option.
However I found that it is possible and here's how.
How can I copy scripts from one existing project to another?
For Robot scripts, you can import/export scripts only if they are attached to a test case. First, log in to the source project. Select the test plan, test case folder, or test case that you wish to export. Right click on the item and select "export". Make sure that you check to export "associated implementations" under the export related assets. Give a path for the parcel file and click "OK". Close TestManager and log back in, this time logging into the destination project. Select File->Import from Test Asset parcel (which has a file extension of 'rtpar'). Select the items you would like to import into this project.
Currently, there is not a direct way for Robot scripts to be copied from one existing project to another.
NOTE: Suites cannot be imported or exported. You will need to import/export the test scripts individually.
