Statefull Session BEAN deletion with multiple concurrent users.
We are in the process of VU recording using Rational Test Studio.
We are getting the exception when we are run the suite for multiple concurrent user (>1 User @ N times) using Rational Test Manager.
E.g. Running a suite for 5 Users for 100 iteration = 500 records to be added in a database. But after the completion some of the cases are shown as FAIL and in database it doesn't insert all 500 records, it is less then 500 records. For the FAILED record in rational it gives some error under General tab in Failure Reason as "UNKNOWN" for Virtual Testers Command name = "http_nrecv".
Also in Weblogic log file it gives NoSuchObjectException : The been has been deleted. The above exception occurs when the session bean is getting deleted in Weblogic 7.0.
This does not happen when we do the Manual Testing with 3 users submitting a record at a same time.
So here we want to know whether it is a problem due to Rational Automated testing or some problem with our application.
Re: Statefull Session BEAN deletion with multiple concurrent users.
Probably neither. Please read User Experience, not Metrics Part 11 on www.perftestplus.com to see how the tool defaults to handle security and sessions. It also discusses some common ways to resolve issues like the one you are describing.
Please come back after reading the article with any follow up questions.
