No, because the name is also defined in your DATAPOOL_CONFIG section and you cannot replace that name with a variable so that is it changeable during runtime.

    2. Can I run one script with 35 different users each with their own datapool with username specific information?
Can I hava a datapool for user1 with user1 specific information and another datapool for user2 with user2 specific information, but have user1 and user2 run scriptA but with their respective datapools?
    <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Not with datapools, see reason above.
If every VU, just has 1 record in the datapool you would be fine with just the datapool. But maybe you have to break up your scripts more, so that you have different scripts for VUs that do different things.

Or you can make CSVs that you write handlers for whose names you can pass as variables.

    datapools & VU

This is really a two part question.
    1. Can I feed a variable as the datapool name argument in to the datapool_open command?

    2. Can I run one script with 35 different users each with their own datapool with username specific information?
Can I hava a datapool for user1 with user1 specific information and another datapool for user2 with user2 specific information, but have user1 and user2 run scriptA but with their respective datapools?

    Thanks in advance,
    LCW

    Re: datapools & VU

Has anyone got an example of a csv file handler to hand?

Random line access would be good. An equivatent to 'shuffle' would be great.

    Many thanks.

    DruidDave,

It's really only a couple of lines of code - see the VU Language reference and look up fileopen(). That will point you to the rest of the functions and parameters needed to do this.
