AUT unexpectedly closes on window
I've run into a brick wall...
My AUT closes unexpectedly when bringing up a certain window.
Using Inspector, if I drag the hand over the window or even do a refresh all while the window is open, the AUT closes.
I get similar symptoms trying to use SQAGetProperty or when recording.
The particular window that is causing a problem is identified as type=window; class=ThunderRT6Form DC; Category=ThunderFormDC. (I can get this info if I have the window already open when I launch inspector, but if I refresh it crashes). I have other windows of this type in my AUT that don't seem to be causing any problems. I receive no errors and don't know where to go from here...
Re: AUT unexpectedly closes on window
Some additional information:
1. GUI developed w/ VB6
2. I cannot do a window setcontext using the name of the window (TextWiz) but I can set the context using CurrentWindow. If I set context using Name=TextWiz, the app shuts down.
3. If I set the context using CurrentWindow, I can then do a SQAGetProperty on the window successfully. However, if I try a SQAGetChildren, the app shuts down.
4. Setting context using CurrentWindow, I can retrieve the caption of the window successfully. However, if I try to set context using this caption, it doesn't seem to work (the app doesn't shut down, but I can't get any properties of the window)
5. I can get a quick look at it using inspector if I have that window open prior to launching inspector. I can see the properties of the window, but if I hit the (+) to see the children, the app shuts down. Also, there is an incomplete listing of the children I think. Only about 4 are listed when there should be more.
My next step is to get the source and try to map out each of the children controls on that form. Then maybe I'll try getting properties from each using a SQAGetProperty to see if I can isolate which object is causing me problems...
Any other ideas?
