    Coding Style Guide

    User (cgendreau@act.com.nospam) posted:

Have any of you or your teams ever developed a coding style guide (best
    practices and procedures) for automation?
I want to create a style guide for our team as we have a few junior level
coders starting to become involved in the automation effort here.
If you or your team does have a style guide in place, would you mind
sending a copy to me, with any proprietary information removed that needs
to be removed. I would like to get some ideas on formatting as well as
what guidelines you have in place.

    Thank you!

    Take a look at:
    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Ration...ines-v2002.pdf

It was written by Paul Downes and Carl Nagle.

At my last job I took the coding style document for the developers, then
went through it chucking out the stuff that didn't apply and added the stuff
    that was particular to robot.
