I try to run the same test on these PCs simultaneously, the local computer
and another PC (another PC has Rational TestStudio and Test Agent
installed as well). However, Test Manager on the master test PC failed to
initialize at the line it checking out for 2 individual licenses. The
error message says:
[126.96.36.199] Failed to check out the necessary licences MC_29_5_1
I have licences including the Rational Test 5 pooled Virtual Testers Pack
licence installed in an unix license server. These 2 test PCs have
Rational License Key Adminstrator, pointing to the same licence server.
Does any know why it fails to run test agent in this case?
What should I do to make it work? Please help

You are trying to run the same test at the same time from 2 master stations? You'd need 2 sets of licenses to do that. What you need to do is drive the agent from one master. That way all the licenses are handled by the master. The agent is initialized from the master and doesn't check the license directly.
I am also having this problem as mentioned inthe first post. The 2 computers are on the same network and domain, they both seperately have Test Suite 2003 installed on both, but when I tried to run a test on the local machine and the test agent machine I get an error exactly the same as the other formum poster.
