Very long VU-script problem
User Oleg Roshchin (firstname.lastname@example.org) posted:
I've got a problem in running my VU-script with emulation commands for MS
Actually it's not very long (1030 lines) but it contains a cycle with about
75 emulation commands,
and we need this cycle to be performed 10 000 times (every cycle emulates
one document insertion into the database,
so we need to insert 10 000 documents).
The problem is that after 2761 documents Test Manager suspends to perform
the cycle body
and begins to do something else, fully occupying the CPU. We fail to wait
till the termination of that
"self-operation" and till the cycle to continue (we had to kill Test Manager
after 30 minutes).
We tried to turn off the option of logging the emulation commands
(check off "Emulation commands" in "Tools/Manage/Log Filters/General") - no
Could you please advise anything to overcome the problem?
Workstation: Windows-2000, Rational 2001a
Server: Windows-2000 Advanced Server, MS SQL Server 2000 EE
Re: Very long VU-script problem
CPU pegged, not RAM? Do you have anything else going on on the Master station?
How are you looping throught the script? Always dies at the same place, and you are certain that you have turned all logging off. Very odd. How long in time is the script running for? Are all of the completed commands successful?
