Recording Drag and Drop Functionality
User Frank (firstname.lastname@example.org) posted:
I'm trying to automate a drag and drop function in an IE 5.5 - based java
applet. The only exposed properties appear to be the java panel and java
labels - in the form of a tree view. The panel is in the right hand frame
of a two frame page.
The function left drags one label onto another. When I record a script, I
get a GenricObject Left_Drag call containing the label text as the first
parameter. For the second parameter, however, instead of coordinates I get
empty quotes. Playing this back just selects the label.
I've tried using GetCurPos to retrieve the source and destination
coordinates and plugging them into the drag call. The cursor will now
move, but the coordinates don't seem to map properly and it just hangs.
Any ideas how I might implement this?
Re: Recording Drag and Drop Functionality
I only have one suggestion, which you probably already have done.
Make sure you have run the Java Enabler. If you are using JRE 1.4 make sure you do a web update when you run the Java Enabler.
