    Re: a problem about datapool

    I'm sorry, your question is a little confusing. Let me see if I can sort it out.

    VU Script.
    Datapool.
    Seems to be always starting with the first line instead of a random line?

    In your datapool config line change DP_SEQUENTIAL to DP_RANDOM

    Does that answer your question?

    Re: a problem about datapool

    Thank you for your help!
    I know your idea, But it can not answer my question.
    my question is as follow:
    1. I recorded a vu script by robot, and created a datapool for the script.

    2. I edited the datapool, let it have two rows data, for example:
    user1 password1;
    user2 password2;

    3. I want to know how to setup the environment to arrive the target:
    I run the script two times:
    first time, it use the data: user1 password1;
    and second time, it use the data: user2 password2.

    Can you understand my question?

    Re: a problem about datapool

    This sounds like correct behavior. I am still not sure what you want to script to actually do. Sorry, I'm not being much help. Feel free to email me with scripts/screen shots, etc to help me understand the desired results.

    Are you going to be adding more rows to your datapool? Are they always going to end in a sequence number? Might you want to handle the sequence number programatically rather than in a datapool? For instance, make the sequence number the same as the Virtual User number?

    Re: a problem about datapool

    Make sure you have to following options on:

    DATAPOOL_CONFIG "datapool name" DP_SEQUENTIAL DP_SHARED DP_PERSISTENT DP_NOWRAP

    This takes automatically care of using row 1 the first run and row 2 the second run.

    Re: a problem about datapool

    Have you modified the script to use a datapool, or you just set options in the datapool Information window?

    <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

    You can do either way.
    The script settings are pretty self explanatory, you can find the options in the datapool information window.

    Re: a problem about datapool

    Firstly I answer konulr's question:
    I set options in the datapool Information window, because it is a vu script, I don't need to modify the script for datapool.

    Secondly I want to describe my project:
    My project is testing a web stress, but the web don't permit a user login multi-times.
    So I must login the web with different users' accounts.
    I recorded the script with a user's account,and I created a datapool, that has several users' accounts.
    when I run the script through test management, it only use the first user's account to login.

    It is the best if I get a sample for this kind of test.
