I've had the same problem. The default timeout is four hours - two ways to
change it:

1) If SQLAnywhere was installed with the ability to interact with the
desktop, open SQL Anywhere, and select File>Configure and change the idle
client shutdown time to something larger than 240.

2) In Sybase Central, go to the SQLA service you created, right click,
select Properties>Configuration tab. In the parameters window, add a value
for "ti", like so:

-n ServerName -ti 2880

where -ti is the number of minutes to which you want to change.
