    (??)RE: Game Testing with Robot

    User DAVID MARSH (DAVID.MARSH@thales-cs.com.nospam) posted:

Going back to my first email

To enable Robot to work on an application, many languages need to have the
"enabler" installed. This is a library provided by Rational to hook into
your code. When using Delphi it has to be the first line of code. Your
Rational manuals should help you with that.

Then the question is "What can Robot identify"? Robot is used on
applications rather than games, it looks for windows, and the objects
contained within those windows. So you could not hope to use it to test
    something like Doom or Quake.

Did you tell Rational what you wanted to test? Did they tell you Robot
would work? Get them to sort out this problem.

Japanese, as a language, should not be
much more difficult to acquire than Basic.
It's all in the inflection and the objects,

    Is Thales pronounced Tiles

Thales is pronounced "Tar-Less" and there is a story (so we've been told)
that our parent company selected the only name that could not be pronounced

    based.

    And yes, Green website alert.
