Problem using TrueDBGrid

Robot does not recognize some third party objects. We have encountered the
same sort of problem with VSFlexGrid in a VB application.
We have been forced to use Clipboard validations in Robot or pasting the grid
data from the application to Microsoft Excel. In Excel we were able to
massage the data and proceed to use a Window Validation from Robot. A bite
convoluted perhaps but it works!
Hope this will help.

I am using SQA for C++ application. Some places there are TrueDBGrids used.
While defining "Object Data Definition Test" application crashes.
If somebody has solution for this please reply.

Robot works well with the Visual Basic version of TrueDBGrid. You must
first associate the grid with the "Generic" object type in Robot. If
using an older version of Robot, you must also load the SQA Testing OCX
manager and insert the SQA object testing OCX in every form in the project
(later versions do not require this step, just need to check the Visual
Basic checkbox in the Extension Manager). Then you can use the Object
Properties VP, SQAGetProperty, SQASetProperty, as well as the grid
The rules for C++ are somewhat different. In both cases, it helps to have
experience developing applications that use grids. I was fortunate to
have a developer help me get started.
Hopefully, your problems are due to inexperience, and not lack of support
by the test tool.
