    Writing results to Excel

    I am testing on citrix system. What I need to do is to time and record the time between user actions. For example, if a click on a button to open a new window, I need to record the time it takes the window to appear and then write the result to Excel. Any suggestions on how I can approach this task?

    Thanks

    Re: Writing results to Excel

    Actually I have no idea on how to write it. But I see an example in front of me on how to open Excel application. It is done with
    Set oExcel=CreateObject("Excel.Application")
    Then workbook is opened:
    oExcel.Workbooks.Open FileName:=Path

    Not too much...
    By the way, how are you going to calculate execution time? Looks like only second are available for calculation, milliseconds are available for Timers only; and you cannot read timers in your script. So, if you have any idea on how to get milliseconds - please, share it...

    Re: Writing results to Excel

    It was suggested to me that I use simple loop as an example, that will count machine cycles. 1000 machine cycles = 1 second. About the milliseconds, I don't have any idea yet.

    Yes, I've read this answer, too. But what is machine cycles? How do I count them?

    Thanks!
