Where To Put A Function
Is it possible to have a function be part of a test script? Or do you create functions in another type of file?
Re: Where To Put A Function
You can do both. You would put a script specific function that no other script could possibly use but you're doing alot in the script, inside the script. Any reusable function or sub that can be used in other scripts is better within a library (sbl) file.
You must always 'Declare' the function. If the function/sub is in the script then at the top of the script, if in a library file then declare it in a header file and sometimes forward declaring in the library is required.
You may want to check out the help files, the Rational Users site has some great examples and a script/library file documentation as well. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Ration...y%20Files.html
