Hi, Ram. You can test terminal server applications by installing Robot on
terminal server. In fact, Rational's notes state that you MUST do it this
way. I've been told that my company will not allow QA to test TS apps by
installing the test tool on the terminal server.
I have not confirmed this (don't know how TS works and have not tried it),
but I think Robot would be unable to test these applications from the
Client side, because the application objects (windows and controls) are
just painted on the display on the client.
I have been testing applications on Windows XP remotely from a Windows 95
box by installing Robot on the remote XP box and accessing it via Remote
Desktop Connection. This has worked quite well.
BTW, are you by any chance working out of Federal Way?
