    TextPad and SQABasic

    User Bill Kidwell (bkidwell@digitalfreight.com.nospam) posted:

If any of you have ever wished that Robot had a better editor for
scripting, including a "clipping" library, then you will be happy to know
that I took the time to create a syntax file for Textpad. It was easy,
    but time consuming.

I emailed it to them today to post on their site. You can contact me
directly if they do not follow through.

In case anyone else out there uses Visual Test - I also have a syntax file
for that development environment. If anyone out there hasn't heard of
textpad please have a look at their site - www.textpad.com.

I use it to edit code in a number of environments including Visual Test,
Visual Basic, Transact-SQL, ASCII file manipulation (CSV, fixed width,
etc.), and Power Basic. The product web site has hundreds of add on syntax
and macro files and the base product is extremely flexible and extensible.
It quickly became my text editing right arm several years ago. And the best
part - it's dirt cheap shareware!

    Try it, you'll like it!

While we're on the subject...does anyone have the equivalent for UltraEdit?

    John,

How's your reading comprehension. To get the "clipping" library you either:
    - Go to the TextPad web site
    or
    - Contact Bill "...directly if they do not follow through.
