TM locking test-log after test-case run

    User Aidy Rutter (AidyR@TrustMarque.com.nospam) posted:

v2002. I'm in TM running a test-case. It runs, but fails. I close the test
log. I try to re-run the test-case again, but TM tells me that a user has
got the log open and it is locked. But no-one has it open! I try to delete
the log through the test asset window, but still no joy.

How then I'm I supposed to overwrite a test log when running a test-case in
TM. Didn't have the problem when I shelled the scripts in Robot.

    Cheers

    Aidy

    Aidy,

We've had that problem as well; it's a pain to re-name the log each time.
Hunting it down and dragging it (kicking and screaming) to the recycle bin
    seems to do it.

    Regards,

    Tom

This TM is a pile of cack. I've only started using it (because it was

In every step I take I encounter a major bug.

I am forced to use TM because I need to produce reports. The trouble is if I
can't delete logs I'm going to have a load of sh*tty reports with failures.
The bosses are going to think I'm a joker. And not only that, bang goes my
standard way(s) of naming log folders.

And here's a new one for you. I put SQABas32 upto project level. I change
the path in General Options and compile in Robot. It's fine. Not in TM
though. It can't find the .sbh. I can't run my test-case(s).

Ed Murphy: This product has clearly not been tested thoroughly enough, can
you honestly say that TM underwent an adequate test of requirements and code
coverage; exploratory and negative testing?? Your Project/Product/Test

If you're short of testers or not too well up on process methodology, I'm

Re: TM locking test-log after test-case run

so is it safe to say that nobody has found out what is causing this problem? it is brand new to us here (we have been using robot for some time...) and driving us over the edge.

thanks in advance for any help
