I think it's what you are talking about...
Changes to Rational Products

I hadn't realized until your last message that you are the Senior Product
Manager at Rational. Thanks for posting on this mailing list.
Perhaps this question has been posted before (but I haven't been able to
find it): How does Rational decide what to add, enhance, change or remove
for each release? I ask this because some baffling changes have been made
in the recent past.
I understand that Rational is moving toward more integration of its
products, and that this may affect the product you are using (in my case:
Robot), even though the change is meant for (integration with) a Rational
product you may not be using.
Nevertheless, some changes seem to be random. My pet peeve with Robot V2001
was that it no longer allowed script imports. Why this was done is a
mystery to me, especially since the import feature is now touted as a brand
new addition in Testmanager for version 2002.
Ok, I'll get to the point: I think the people on this mailing list are a
good cross-section of your users. Why don't you ask the users (on this
list) what they want for the next release, and what they may think of
proposed changes (who proposes these changes right now anyway?)
I still love playing with Robot, don't get me wrong. But I think with more
user input into the design stages, you would be able to make some serious
enhancements to the product.
