    Trouble stepping into SBL files

    User Kent Smiley (ksmiley@neocore.com.nospam) posted:

    List,

I've read a number of archive messages about stepping into SBL files and I
hope I am doing this right. I also read about some programming practices
and hope I am coding this elequently enough to satisfy et al. I have a
number of common functions in a SBL file which I Declare through a SBH
file of the same name using the BasicLib "commonfunctions" notation.

My problem is that I cannot step into these SBL files. I actually created
a much smaller rec, sbh, sbl combination and I was able to step into this
successfully. I matched the conventions in the successful test in the
larger script, sbh and sbl combination but cannot step into it.

I have compiled the SBL, seen the .sbx file in sqabas32, have the rec and
sbl open, used the default path of SQABAS32 for sbh and sbl files, using
f8 to step into and all I end up seeing is the cursor jumping to the SBH
include statement at the top of the rec file and nothing else.

What else should I be checking for ?

    Thanks,
    Kent

Make a breakpoint at the line you call sub/function
from .sbl. When the execution is stopped, select "step
into" menu item on Robot toolbar (or click the
appropriate icon). And you will be at the first line
of the sub/function. Then you may do whatever you
    like.
