    DelayFor-ever

    User Melody Hall (melody.hall@uk.dealogic.com.nospam) posted:

    Hi All,
Has anyone had problems with the 'DelayFor' command?
    The book says that:
    DelayFor 2000
Should delay the script for 2 seconds, on my PC it pauses for about 20
    seconds.
When run on another similar spec. PC, the code delays correctly for 2
    seconds.
All my settings in the GUI playback menu are the default ones.

    Thanks for your help,

    Mel

Are you sure it is the DelayFor command? Maybe the delay is caused by the
object recognition and the following Window SetContext times out or
    something like this?

    Torsten,
    It is definitely the DelayFor,
    If I do
    Print "Start"
    DelayFor 2000
    Print "Finish"
Then it definitely delays for 20 not 2 seconds.

If you are using Version 2001 or later, in the Open the GUI Playback Options
dialog box, click the Diagnostic Tools tab, then change the "Set Timeout
    Multiplier Value to 1.

There is a timeout multiplier in Robot GUI playback options on the
Diagnostic Tools tab that is set by default to 10. Set this to 1 and you
    will be good to go.
