could you tell me why do VU scripts take so long to execute as compared to

There's a slew of VU environment variables for controlling delays in VU
scripts. Look up some of these in the VU help file and see the related ones:
Also, if you are taking your time during recording there's a good chance
that robot is inserting a lot of out of whack Think_avg settings in your
script. These are occurring and changing after every emulation command
depending on your record settings and really should be edited prior to
running the script. You can either tailor each one based on what you know
about the transaction or set a maximum using the Think_max env variable.
